Blue Dragon Photo Book Launched !

Last night saw the launch of the photo book 'Dragon of the River Banks' in Hanoi. It is a project that i have been involved in since November, my role was delivering practical photography workshops, book layout design and co-exhibitions producer.

I've had a great time in Vietnam and my time with Blue Dragon Children's Foundation has been a highlight to my photography career, a big thank you goes out to everyone who has made my time such an experience. London here i come :) :[]

I'll be uploading pictures of the book and details of where you can buy one too, all profits from the book will go to the good work that Blue Dragon Children's Foundation do. Check out what they do here, www.bdcf.org and http://vietnamstreets.blogspot.com

Seaside in Vung Tau

Having hired a motorbike today to explore something outside Vungtau which is still technically a city for all its sleepiness, i stumbled on a windy beach to my surprise. On my stroll I was happy to come across crab hunters, fishermen, lots of those spirally shells, a romantic couple and all manners of things natural. The sea is great i once again conclude, tomorrow more exploring i promise myself.

Vietnam celebrates!

Yesterday evening the streets in Vung Tau alive yet again with hundreds of flag-waving,tin-hitting and cheering folk as Vietnam won against Thailand in the Toyota Asian Football Cup. The last-minute back header made the game even more special. Its Vietnam's first time winning this big tournament so hopefully more to come, its great to see so many happy people in the streets. I was having some great reactions with the camera, it seemed as if everyone wanted their picture taken when they saw my camera.

Vietnam vs Singapore 17th Dec

Two posts in one day, i must be trying to avoid some other work :) Here are some pictures of the football match i went to last week. Was my second ever match ive seen, as you can see i spent
much of the time with my eyes on the audience but as the score was 0-0 i didnt miss too much. It was great seeing all the stall holders, many of them set up on their motorbikes congregating around the stadium amongst all the hustle of the crowd.

Beyond Hanoi..to south Vietnam

Finally i make it out of the motorbike smoke of hanoi to sleepy in comparison, Vung Tau, around one and half hours by boat from the capital Saigon. Its well known as the oil town of vietnam and frequented on weekends by Saigoners looking for a little relaxation. Theres not much beaches but its very quiet as a city, in midday its almost sleepy, so im enjoying it. Here are a few pics since 24th December [not only xmas eve but the date vietnam beat thailand at football, great as the whole town seemed to be up celebrating].
